Result of Common Admission Test (CAT) 2015 expected to be announced in the second week of January, 2016. As we all know that this year Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad, conducted CAT 2015 exam on 29th November, 2015. Normally result is announced within a couple of month from the date of examination.
Result of CAT – 2014 was declared in the third week of December but in this 2014 was declared in the third week of December but in this year all participants have to wait for some more time till the second week of January, 2016. Common Admission Test (CAT) – 2015 Result will depict a composite score, sectional and overall percentile, based upon the score of three sections (Quantitative Ability, Verbal and Reading Comprehension and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning).
On the basis of thisresult, the all IIMs and other Non-IIM management institutions will announce the list of shortlisted candidates, based on their admission criteria and cutoff.
These shortlisted candidates have to appear for further selection criteria, for securing a seat in management study courses in the preferred institution. Thus CAT 2015 score, overall percentile score, along with the sectional cut-offs, play a major role, for candidates to get a call from various IIMs and other non-IIM management institutes for the next round of selection criteria.
List of the candidates shortlisted for the next round, will be available at respective IIMs’ or other institutes’ official websites because each IIM and other institution shortlists candidates for further stage of selection on the basis of their own criteria, which is not common for all institutions for instance some arrange only GD & PI while others go for WAT, GD & PI.
The further process of selection may include Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI).
In compare to previous years, the number of CAT takers was high in this year, so cut-offs are expectedto be higher.
